CSA T20 CHALLENGE WEEKLY ROUND-UP: AUTO INVESTMENTS NORTH WEST DRAGONS.

The Auto Investments Dragons secured an intense win over WSB Western Province mid-week before their major defeat to the DP World Lions on Sunday.

Auto Investment North West Dragons vs World Sports Betting Western Province – Marks Oval, Potchefstroom

Gideon Peters and Kerwin Mungroo were both outstanding with the ball in what turned out to be only a third win of the campaign for the Dragons over World Sports Betting Western Province at the JB Marks Oval.

The home side won by 11 runs thanks to Peters’ 3/23, with Mungroo also excelling with his economical 1/12 in 4 overs that restricted the Cape side to 144/6 chasing 156. Batting first, NW reached 155/8 thanks to Raynard van Tonder (39*) and Rubin Hermann (30).

Eddie Moore fell three short of a 50 in the reply and Valentine Kitme struck 33, but it was not enough as the visitors ended short.

DP World Lions vs Auto Investment North West Dragons – DP World Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg

The second-placed DP World Lions flattened the Auto Investment North West Dragons by 10 wickets at DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. After winning the toss and batting, the Potchefstroom-based team could only post an underwhelming 85 all out.

Every bowler shone for the home side, although rookie Nqaba Peter continued to see his stock rise with 3/22, the best of the figures. There were also doubles for Wiaan Mulder (2/9) and Lutho Sipamla (2/18).Zubayr Hamza and Connor Esterhuizen both struck 28-ball unbeaten 41s to take their side past the target with a whopping 64 balls to spare.
