So, you’re on the hunt for the ultimate wax bar in Cape Town? Well, I’ve got some good news for you! I recently checked out the new WAXIT Table Bay store, and let me tell you, it was a dreamy experience.

Now, I have to admit, I’m not someone who waxes regularly, and I’m definitely a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain. But after my experience at WAXIT, I’m definitely a convert!
I opted for three treatments at the Table Bay flagship store: an eyebrow wax and tint, a lip wax, and an underarm wax. And let me just say, I was blown away by the results!
The lady who did my treatments was so gentle and considerate, and she really took the time to get my brows into the best shape pre-tint. And the lip wax was pretty much what I expected, but she did use a technique that really got into those stubborn corners of my mouth.
As for the underarm wax, I was pretty nervous about it because I’m not a fan of pain (who is, really?), but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and it’s definitely less itchy than shaving.
But the real game-changer for me was the “Secret of Smooth” cream. I’d heard about hair removal creams before, but I’d never tried one until now. And let me just say, I’m a total convert! You apply the cream to any area of your body (except for your face) for 15 minutes, then wipe it off, and voila – the hair is gone!
I tried it on both of my arms, and they’re now super smooth. Plus, the aftercare component is seriously amazing. It’s an aloe-infused moisturizer that you apply 24 hours after the hair removal process to restore and hydrate your skin and reduce inflammation. And if you use it on a continual basis, it can even help minimize hair growth.
